“Duties
- Serve as the Deputy Director, DHA and Senior Advisor for agency program execution in support of the Director, DHA and the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs.
- Organize, direct and manage, through senior level program Directors, the DHA and all assigned personnel and units.
- Oversee the overall operational and policy planning, direction and timely execution of the Agency’s health care programs and/or program elements.
- Ensure execution, implementation and integration of legislative mandates and DoD policy concerning the Military Health System (MHS) transformational and governance structure.
- Responsible for the integration of DHA functions in support of the DHA subordinate organizations, Components medical organizations, and through the Joint Staff Surgeon, Combatant Commands.
- Significantly influence the program management of assigned units/personnel to ensure consistent implementation/management of MHS policies and the uniform health delivery.
- Exercise oversight, program direction, and funding execution of activities related to TRICARE Programs.
- Develop, coordinate, finalize and execute Service Level Agreements with the MHS Components in support of their medical readiness mission.
