Brooke Army Medical Center taps Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Sean Hipp, a medical doctor with a focus in pediatric hematology/oncology and a successful career in Army Medicine, will be taking on a new challenge as Chief Medical Officer at Brooke Army Medical Center.

In announcing the move, Sean wrote, “It has been an honor working at the Virtual MEDCEN for the past 4 years. I know the VMC team will continue to do amazing things supporting Service Members from operational to garrison. I look forward to transitioning into the BAMC Chief Medical Officer position learning from COL Joel Meyer and his amazing team.”

Prior roles include:

  • Director, Virtual Medical Center – Brooke Army Medical Center
  • Associate Program Director, Pediatric Residency – Brooke Army Medical Center
  • Battalion Surgeon, Warrior Transition Battalion – Brooke Army Medical Center
