CMS RFQ: National Implementation of the Medicare FFS CAHPS Survey Data Collection

“The purpose of this Statement of Work (SOW) is to implement the survey data collection, data file preparation, and file submission of the Medicare Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) surveys in the Fee-for-Service (FFS) Medicare program. This task order shall implement the FFS CAHPS survey among a sample of up to 275,000 enrollees in the Medicare FFS Program. The Medicare FFS CAHPS Survey shall continue to use a mixed mode methodology of data collection consisting of two mailings of the survey and telephone follow-up of non-respondents. In the task order’s option years, there is potential for adding a web mode as part of the mixed mode methodology. The sample for the survey shall cover all 50 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and other U.S. territories. The Medicare FFS CAHPS survey includes approximately 70 questions. The survey shall be conducted in English, Spanish, and Chinese languages. CMS may also request the survey be translated into additional languages.”
