“Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Manage the design, development, and implementation of data solutions; conduct research to remain up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies in anticipation of new business processes and system alterations; analyze and update data analytics standards across the IHS organization; provide regular written and in-person communications with organization leadership, external partners, technical counterparts, and end users. Develop, track, and control the division’s annual operating and capital budgets; provide technical services through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring of systems, programs, and equipment performance.
- Acquisition and Deployment: Assess and communicate risks associated with data-related investments and purchases; develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for technology spending and initiatives to support data management and analytical capabilities; develop and maintain organizational procedures, policies, and standards for acquiring, implementing, and operating new network systems, equipment, software, and other technologies to support data management and analytical capabilities. Manage all steps for projects and the project portfolio as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development, and installation of major information systems. Oversee all responsibilities involved in contract awards that will provide the best services to the government with the lowest risk.
- OIT Management Team: Serve as the Director of the Division of Data Management and Analytics to direct staff in their activities to meet programmatic goals for providing managerial direction and oversight of IT enterprise data management, system design and development. Responsible for recruitment of organizational staff for data management and analytics; Advise on Health IT data management and analytics services for Agency program objectives and operations to ensure enterprise-wide technology integration and enforce standardized processes for developing an agency-wide data and analytical platform.”
