“Contractor support will include assisting in all aspects of the tailored enterprise life cycle development for the Branded Prescription Drug Project which is a Web-Based Service. The scope includes the next release of the industry fee system that is responsible for imposing an annual fee on each covered entity engaged in the business of manufacturing or importing branded prescription drugs for sale to any specified government program or pursuant to coverage under any such program for each calendar year beginning after 2010. The scope will also include the operations and maintenance (O&M) of the industry fee system in production.
The BPD project will include:
- Operations and maintenance of the database that stores the Covered Entity demographic information, Government Agency sales information, and the controlling group information
- Operations and maintenance of the BPD application that allows for transfer of calculated fee information to interfacing systems for producing a fee notice to the Covered Entities
- Operations and maintenance of the mechanism for receiving and loading Covered Entity and Government Agency submitted data
- Requirements definition for a future release.”
