“This position is located in the Defense Health Agency (DHA) under the policy guidance and direction of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs (ASD (HA)). The DHA ACQ Demo workforce is responsible for management and performance of Military Health Systems (MHS) Acquisition Programs within the DHA, Federal Health Electronic Records Modernization (FEHRM) office, Program Executive Office or Program Management Offices.”

Responsibilities:
- Serves as an expert consultant for functional teams to assist them in anticipating, identifying, evaluating, mitigating, and minimizing risks associated with information technology (IT) systems’ cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
- Advises system designers and system administrators about the consistency of proposed cybersecurity strategies with regulatory and policy directives.
- Provides expert assessment of proposed design measures’ feasibility, based on broad knowledge of parameters imposed by the IT infrastructure and operations.
- Serves as the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM), providing network/computer security and risk management planning, and technical oversight for the certification and accreditation of networks, systems, applications, etc.
- Develops, implements, maintains, and refines an integrated program of guidance, goals, standards, plans, procedures, and criteria for the assigned cybersecurity functional areas and associated programs.
