U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command (USAMRDC) seeking CTO

“Responsibilities 

  • Directs TATRC’s strategic direction, development and future growth to include research related IT infrastructure requirements and integration into cloud. 
  • Works with lab leads and researchers on IT requirements and advising on technologies to improve research and research projects. 
  • Manages IT acquisitions and budgets. Serves as COR on IT related service contracts. 
  • Aligns data policy and administration with relevant regulatory, legal and ethical mandates 
  • Leads regulatory and compliance programs related to data and analytics assets including compliance with the Clinger-Cohen Act and the Federal Information Technology Acquisition Reform Act (FITARA). 
  • Develops and directs all networking safeguards to reduce the risk of outside breaches and protect sensitive internal and external client information 
  • Consistently evaluates technical efficiency and makes changes as necessary. 
  • Prepare briefing papers and oral presentations.
