Staci Pelland, armed with experience in Cybersecurity project management and security engineering, integrating security into the software development life cycle and having extensive experience with DOD, Navy, and Joint Programs, has taken on a new role as Director with Cerner.
In announcing the move Staci noted: “Tomorrow, I start a new adventure with Cerner Corporation!!! As I prepared for the transition, one of the most surreal tasks was to surrender my DoD ID…which I’ve been issued one since I was 18 y/o. Supporting the warfighter and the veteran has been my honor and my mission. It’s no surprise in my decision to go where the rubber hits the road…the DOD and VA meet in the Federal Enclave. My excitement far outweighs concern, knowing I’m joining a team of brilliant technologists who believe in the same mission! Time to roll up the sleeves and serve again…in a different capacity!” See her post here.
Prior roles include:
- Lead ISSM, DHMSM – PEO Defense Healthcare Management Systems
- Cyber Strategy, Policy, and Risk Management; ISSE and ISSM – SPAWAR
- Veteran Workforce Program Manager – SPAWAR
Cerner was named to the list of NXT UP firms poised to make big waves in the Federal sector in 2020 and for years to come.
