The scope of this contract will focus on the contractor providing training and technical assistance to grantees in the implementation of their projects and evaluating the successes and challenges faced by BH2I with a resulting product of guiding documents that will assist other sites, funded or not, to implement behavioral health integration projects in I/T/U sites.
The Contractor will provide technical assistance to sites to complete organizational assessments aimed at determining their starting point and the types of technical assistance that will be needed to assist them with the implementation of their projects. Organizational assessments must be based on Collaborative Care Model (CoCM), Primary Care Behavioral Health Model, Behavioral Health Integration Capacity Model, or other relevant model or approach that provides support for primary care providers in managing medical conditions where this is also a need for behavioral health interventions. Tailored technical assistance will be delivered to no more than 15 sites through conference calls, open office hours, regularly scheduled meetings, webinars, virtual site visits, and/or other relevant venues to provide subject matter expertise on behavioral health integration activities based on the grantees project.
The Contractor will develop standards of care for behavioral health integration: This involves the provision of key clinical players that will provide expertise on integrating behavioral health with primary care.
Performance Standards
Key clinical players on the expert workgroup should include clinical and operational aspects of integrating behavioral health with primary care.
AQL: Minimum of a behavioral health provider (psychologist, social worker, or therapist); primary care provider (physician or nurse practitioner); and psychiatric consultant (psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner)
