After more than 15 years with NIH, Anna Maria Calcagno, Ph.D., R.Ph., has taken on a new challenge as Director of Strategy, Policy, & Program Analysis Division at FEMA’s Mission Support Executive Office.
Anna Maria will bring great perspective from her time at NIH and HHS helping to operationalize one of the HHS Secretary’s Strategic Priorities by proactively launching a culture of evidence-based decision making for HHS leadership through data analytics; leading strategic and scientific planning efforts which include proposing narrative and strategies for HHS Strategic Objectives for the 2014-2018 and 2018-2022 HHS Strategic Plans; and her expertise in enterprise risk management at the HHS level and generating findings and recommendations to inform top decision makers .
