US Army MEDCOM to award contract for scientific and medical research management support services

The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) is issuing a Notice of Intent for a Sole Source contract with a six (6) month period of performance with Ripple Effect Communications, Inc. To begin 01 DECEMBER 2020, this contract will provide scientific and medical research management support services in support for the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP).  The contract shall provide senior level scientists to support the research management needs for CDMRP.

The USAMRDC is a major subordinate Command of the United States Army Futures Command (AFC).The Commanding General (CG), USAMRDC, directs the management of a number of medical research, development and acquisition programs. Research includes breast, prostate, ovarian, kidney, and lung cancer, defense health, neurofibromatosis, tuberous sclerosis complex, autism, psychological health/traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury research, bone marrow failure, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, medical simulation and information sciences, military infectious diseases, military operational medicine, combat casualty care, radiation Health effects, and clinical and rehabilitative medicine. The USAMRDC is responsible for planning, coordinating, integrating, programming, budgeting and executing these programs. The proposed contract action is for the senior scientific support services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition, 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1 when the supplies or services required by the agency are available from only one or a limited number of responsible sources and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
