Responsibilities:
- Support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program as an EHR Software Integration Lead.
- Serve as a technical leader for a subset of all interfaces supporting OEHRM implementation.
- Implement Service Business and common data standards (HL7) to ensure that the VA has a long-term standard interface strategy.
- Actively support interfaces from design through development and authority to connect, providing remediations, and reducing overall risk to OEHRM implementation.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in a professional work environment
- Experience with independently designing and developing new software products or major enhancements to existing software for healthcare and clinical environment
- BA or BS degree in Healthcare IT, CS, EE, engineering or technical fields or an additional 10 years of experience in a professional work environment in lieu of a degree
- Experience with a variety of interfacing strategies, especially middleware/SOA
- Experience in the VA
- Experience with implementing Electronic Health Records
- Knowledge of HL standards
