Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage diverse team of staff to deliver results on time with high quality
- Able to actively lead and manage all phases of the project lifecycle from initiation through closure, including project planning, contract management, project execution, and tracking and reporting
- Deliver project requirements on time, within budget, with quality results that meet or exceed customer expectations
- Develop detailed project schedules, estimates, and resource plans
- Produce and deliver detailed status reports and briefings, along with periodic demonstrations of developed capability, to document and demonstrate project progress
- Proactively manage scope, actions, issues and risks to ensure project success. Follow change control procedures effectively.
- Provide PMO support services to assist in the planning, management, coordination and vendor oversight of VA projects. Collaborate and interface with project stakeholders, including end users, business, VA organizations, vendors and implementation partners
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related technical discipline
- 15 years of relevant experience as a program / project manager for government contracts (10 additional years may be substituted for education)
- 5 years of experience working in a VA or Department of Defense (DoD) environment
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing project teams ranging from 20 – 50 staff across multiple locations
- Experience managing VA OI&T PMO projects, and VIP and ProPath policies and procedures
