“Responsibilities
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provide all executive decisions with regards to the technological interests of a company, outlining the organization’s technological vision, implementing technology strategies, and ensuring that the technological resources are aligned with the organization’s business/security needs.
- Design the technical vision to meet strategic goals and recommends the appropriate technology solutions to support the policies and directives issued by the Executive Director, OEHRM. Enables the Executive Director, OEHRM to merge the recommended technologies with the strategic business objectives of the organization.
- Ensure compliance with Federal Enterprise Architecture (EA) principles and guidance. Assesses the current technologies/architectures in use and develops strategies and implementation plans on transitioning the systems portfolio to meet the EA targets.
- Provide expert, high-level technical advice and counsel to Executive Director, Deputy Executive Director, OEHRM, other VA executives, stakeholders, and users on matters that affect or relate to current and existing IT functions and programs.”
