Magellan Federal awarded $42M Army Family Advocacy Support Services (FASS) contract

Armed Forces Services Corporation, d/b/a Magellan Federal, has been awarded the Family Advocacy Support Services (FASS) contract by the U.S. Army Installation Management Command (IMCOM). The contract has a one-year base with three, one-year options for a maximum potential value of $42.2 million if all options are exercised.

The new FASS program is a combination of two existing programs – Army Domestic Abuse Victim Advocacy (DAVA) Program and the New Parent Support Program (NPSP), both of which Magellan Federal has supported since 2012. The consolidated program provides new parent support and domestic abuse victim advocacy services to more than 14,000 Soldiers and families per year. In addition, Magellan Federal will provide 24/7 victim response, home visitation, hands-on education, case management and accompaniment to court and other appointments.

Magellan Federal CEO, Oscar Montes, said his company is honored to support the Army. “As the leading complex population and behavioral health company in the country, I’m confident in our team’s deep experience and proven approaches, which are designed to enhance the resiliency and quality of life of our Soldiers and their families. Ultimately, these support systems have an important impact on our Army’s combat readiness.”
