The Office of Healthcare Environment and Facilities Programs (HEFP), located within the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, is responsible for providing technical information to engineering and occupational safety and health staff working in the VA healthcare system. HEFP provides the majority of its products and services via an intranet website hosted on the VA network that serves approximately 8,000+ visitors per month.
The Contractor shall provide development and maintenance support for the HEFP Drupal intranet website. The Contractor shall identify and implement industry best practices in conjunction with the HEFP Contracting Officer’s Representative’s (COR) concurrence.
The Contractor shall provide maintenance and support services as needed. The Contractor shall ensure all changes resulting from maintenance or support items below must be functioning correctly on both the development and production sites.
The Contractor shall:
Provide general Drupal maintenance to include testing and installing updates, including security updates for the HEFP Drupal core system and any required/related updates for installed modules and/or customizations of the Drupal system on the VA server, including development and production environments. The Contractor shall install newly released security updates within two business days. The Contractor shall install newly released non-security updates within five business days…
In the event the Drupal website is not online, the Contractor shall provide installation, configuration and administration of a database on a dedicated VA Linux server to serve as the back-end database for the HEFP Drupal website, both production and development websites. The Contractor shall configure the Drupal website and database to ensure the website is fully functional on the VA Linux server. At this time, the VA approved database for the website is MS SQL.
