The VA Innovation Center’s objectives are to identify, evaluate, field and assess the impact of payment and service delivery models with the goal of reducing expenditures while preserving or enhancing the quality of care for Veterans.
The contractor shall assist with the following activities:
- Evaluation / Impact Analysis:
- Developing overall impact evaluation plan
- Determining, using statistical tools, power calculations, and justifiable assumptions about likely behavioral responses under the pilot, data requirements and sources, the sampling approaches and sample sizes necessary to answer key questions;
- Designing surveys and sampling approaches
- Managing data collection including data gathering, cleansing, and synthesis to support pilot study design
- Collecting impact evaluation baseline data
- Collecting impact evaluation end-line data
- Developing impact analysis finding report
- Planning and implementing study designs (e.g. experimental, prospective, and randomized controlled trials
- Analyzing return on investment for different options for any pilot being developed
- Assisting with pilot program implementation and program management
- Providing technical assistance and program support for Impact Evaluation to Support Care and Payment Innovation Pilot Programs
