FDA recruits Director of Cybersecurity Operations

Kenneth DeChellis, whose career spans over 30 years with senior-level experience resolving Cybersecurity, criminal, counterintelligence, and insider security threats and leading organizations ranging in size from 20 to 100 personnel, has taken on a new role as Director of Cybersecurity Operations with the Food and Drug Administration.

In his new role he will lead this division by providing guidance and oversight to the Systems Management Center (SMC), consisting of Security Operations, Network Operations, and all Incident Response Team (IRT) personnel, while ensuring compliance with the Federal Information Systems Management Act and all FDA Cybersecurity and Information Security Programs.

Prior roles include:

  • Commander (Lt Col/Director) 2nd Field Investigations Squadron – Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI)
  • Deputy Director – Pentagon
  • Commander (Director) – Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI)
