VA RFI: OSDBU Forecast of Contracting Opportunity Capability

Solicitation Number: 36U10120Q0002

“The Office of Small & Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is exploring industry ability to provide a Forecasting of Contracting Opportunities (FCO) capability that prepares a forecast of expected contract opportunities or classes of contract opportunities for the next and succeeding fiscal years that small business concerns, including those owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, are capable of assessing and possibly performing.”

“The purpose of this RFI is to (1) gain information from industry on existing Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) capabilities that may be able to meet the FCO requirement, and (2) determine what resources are needed to implement and sustain that capability. Resources in this case include software, hardware, training, and sustainment support. The system will have high reliability and multiple redundancies (back up and disaster recovery). The system shall be web-based and will also have the ability to export data files so that data may be retained and analyzed off line.”

“As part of our market research effort, we are seeking input from industry to identify the ability of the commercial market to fulfill potential requirements.”
