Indian Health Service Sources Sought: Resource Patient Management System (RPMS) Support & Services

In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation 5.2, The Great Plains Area Indian Health Service – Aberdeen, South Dakota is conducting a Sources Sought notice to acquire Area RPMS Tier 2 Support and after hours coverage. The contractor will serve as the area consultative authority for technical support of the Indian Health Service (IHS) Electronic Health Record (EHR) clinical software application and the Resource Patient Management Systems (RPMS). They will provide patching, backups, data restoration, and after hours technical support for the following locations within the Great Plains Area Indian Health Service, Aberdeen, South Dakota:

  • North Dakota (Belcourt, Fort Yates, Fort Totten, MinneTohe, Fort Berthold, New Town, Trenton)
  • South Dakota (Fort Thompson, Kyle, Lower Brule, McLaughlin, Pine Ridge, Rapid City, Rosebud, Sisseton, Wagner, Wanblee, Great Plains Area Youth Regional Treatment Center – Mobridge, Eagle Butte, Flandreau, Oyate Health Center – Rapid City, SD Urban – Sioux Falls, Santee)
  • Nebraska (Ponca, Winnebago, Cart T. Curtis – Macy)

The contractor shall ensure that RPMS computer systems conform to standard configuration guideline and have a minimum uptime of 99%. Activities to support this objective will include the contractor providing dedicated support personnel to support a full range of computer system administration support activities as well as providing consultation to include testing, performance monitoring, and deployment the AIX, windows and ensemble environments to ensure Great Plains Area operational platforms meet the highest standards.

Great Plains Area OIT requires Tier 2 RPMS systems level support.  In addition, GPA OIT requires the identification, tracking and assistance in issues that require Tier 3 RPMS Engineering Support services from HQ. Approximately 400 to 600 support tickets are handled within Tier 2 support annually.

These services include but not limited to:

  • RPMS platform support server hardware, operating systems support both AIX and Windows,
  • Cache/Ensemble database support.
  • Support Site Backups
  • Support for Printers
  • Support Disk Space Issues
  • Support for User Accounts
  • Support for Cache and Ensemble Journaling
  • Support Cache Shadowing and Ensemble Mirroring…
