Former VA CISO and Cloud Leader joins XentIT as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer

“Prior to joining XentIT, Roopangi worked as Senior Director, Cyber Risk Management at Capital One, CISO and Chief Cloud Strategist for US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) as Deputy Assistant Secretary, Web Services Executive at NASA, and CISO of DHS Science and Technology Directorate. At NASA from 2011 to 2016, she lead the IT modernization efforts through the largest cloud migration program in the federal government space at the time, before joining the VA to help them develop their secure cloud implementation, development, and operations, where she lead a team of 600 security professionals and a budget of $400M supporting an IT budget of $4.2B and over 8,000 IT employees supporting over 9 million veterans. In her most recent role at CapitalOne, Roopangi provided expertise in the design and implementation of Cyber Capability Maturity Model; secure cloud migration and operation practices; and effective oversight through continuously monitoring.” Read the full press release here.
