This position is a mission critical occupation for AHRQ. The position is involved in the analysis of system and/or security requirements, the development and implementation of mission critical applications for the agency’s Information Technology operations.
“As the Chief Information Officer and the Director, Division of Information Technology, you will be instrumental in developing innovative strategies and action plans to drive successful business outcomes; creating opportunities to enhance the Agency’s data and analytics capabilities; and facilitating ongoing efforts to improve essential programmatic and administrative Information Technology (IT) applications. Also you will be responsible for serving as the focal point for the Agency’s IT requirements and priorities, including the cybersecurity and privacy programs, enterprise architecture, software application and development, capital planning and investment, infrastructure, and telecommunications support. This position also serves as a member of the Agency’s Senior Leadership Team.”
“Specifically, you will:
- Supervise a staff of senior IT specialists, administrative staff, and contractors.
- Direct the development and execution of current policies and procedures for IT systems and support services.
- Develop a cloud adoption strategy in collaboration with AHRQ Offices and Centers.
- Coordinate the deployment of AHRQ systems and web sites into Agency-owned cloud-based infrastructures.
- Ensure the implementation and compliance with various mandates and directives related to Information Technology guidelines, directives and regulations.
- Manage the Agency’s IT programs and priorities and define goals, objectives, plans, and performance measures for the IT services that the Division of Information Technology provides.
- Plan, implement, direct, and monitor the integration of new technologies into the infrastructure.”
