“The HHS Secretary has made defeating the opioids crisis one of his priorities, and AHRQ is assisting with that mission by making opioids data more available. AHRQ has developed a new fully interactive Opioids Dashboard of national and State data on the trends of opioid-related hospitalization rates for various key demographics including rates by sex, income, location, and age of patients. Using Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project data, users will be able to see the rates of opioid-related hospitalizations from 2005 to 2016 at the national and State level, and see how their State compares to the nation for 2016.”
