The Center for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety (CQuIPS) within the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) of the United States Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) requires the annual updating and technical support of the AHRQ Quality IndicatorsTM (QIs) (2019-2024).

The AHRQ QI Annual Update and Technical Support and Contract shall focus solely on the operational aspects of updating the QI software and supporting the users of AHRQ QIs who are focused on quality improvements by providing updated software, technical specifications, technical assistance, user friendly interface and tools and documentation for AHRQ QIs. The objectives of this work are:

Update accurate and user-friendly AHRQ Quality Indicators (QI) public-use software, technical specifications, and documentation for use in the measurement and quality improvement of the delivery of health care services

Provide technical assistance to users of the AHRQ Quality Indicators (QIs)

To meet these objectives, the contractor will be required to perform the following activities:

  • Prepare timely, uniformly formatted AHRQ QI documentation, including technical specifications and technical documents
  • Maintain customer-oriented, streamlined AHRQ QI software to facilitate user’s calculation of AHRQ QI rates
  • Review and provide recommendations for the AHRQ QI Website, which serves as the project’s primary vehicle for public outreach, and virtual repository for project information and documentation…
