Arch Systems adds to executive team, recruits CMS industry leader Gary Davis to serve as CIO

Arch Systems LLC, an established, small woman-owned business with two locations in Baltimore, Maryland announced the hiring of key corporate leadership positions that will be in place to serve the IT Services and Solutions Company.

George Gillis, CFO

George Gillis, who serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and oversees corporate financial activities, is based in the Montgomery Park location in Baltimore, Maryland. As a CPA and CMA (Certified Management Accountant) with an MBA from the University of Baltimore, he has held C-Level positions in multiple corporate entities with disciplines including cybersecurity and IT development and implementation. Gillis has developed and implemented multiple accounting and finance systems, including the development of one of the first automated systems for the motion picture theatre industry. A proponent of “continuous process improvement” and “lien accounting” practices, he was instrumental in leading several successful turnarounds during his career.

The CFO manages company finances and works within all company lines to develop financial planning and risk management, record keeping and financial reporting. In addition, the CFO oversees the finance department, assists on all strategic and tactical matters relating to budget management, cost-benefit analysis, forecasting and the securing of required funding.

Gary Davis, CIO

Gary Davis serves as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and is responsible for overseeing the linking of technology to internal and external strategies for the development of new capabilities that translate into improved stakeholder experiences and efficiencies. He comes to Arch following an illustrious career with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield’s Medicare subsidiary National Government Services spanning 28 years including positions at NGS such as CTO providing the successful management of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid’s (CMS) FISMA Certified Virtual Data Center (VDC). Recently, Davis was a finalist for the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) Government Contractor CTO for Innovation.

The CIO works through various lines of business to create business value through technology to define business planning and business growth objectives. In addition, the CIO ensures tech systems and procedures lead to outcomes in line with business goals.

Nate Morin, CA and CISO

Nate Morin serves as Arch’s Chief Architect (CA) and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). As the CA, he is responsible for the centralization of IT functions to ensure cohesive operation throughout the organizational business units. In addition, as the CISO, Morin is tasked with establishing and maintaining the enterprise vision, strategy and program to ensure all information assets and technologies are adequately protected. Morin joins Arch following careers at Microsoft and Amazon Web Services where he was the Senior Practice Manager overseeing the DoD Professional Services group. Morin achieved a master’s degree in Cybersecurity from Capital Technology University and has achieved technical certifications in the following areas: Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), AWS Solution Architect – Associate (AWS CSA-A), SANS GIAC Certified Windows Security Admin (GCWN) and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).
The CISO is responsible for the organizations’ digital and electronic security requirements, along with physical and computer network security. Positionally they work through various business units to ensure the organization’s security function adds value and gives a competitive advantage. In addition, the CA ensures business strategy, along with new trends, is articulated in the enterprise’s processes and systems.
