Leidos Health seeking Managed IT Services COO

“Reporting to the head of Leidos Health’s Managed IT Services (MITS) Operations, with dotted-line accountability to the President/CEO of Leidos Health, the new MITS Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, P&L management, operational delivery and revenue growth. In addition the COO will ensure the organization has the proper operational controls, process, procedures, and systems in place to effectively grow. The COO will be responsible for driving the successful launch and future growth of MITS, an important strategic initiative for Leidos. Initially, the COO will partner with the sales leader in building and converting the Leidos Health MITS sales pipeline, identifying new mega-deal sales opportunities, and securing complex Healthcare Managed IT Service deals.” 

“Essential Functions 

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and management to a service organization that mirrors the adopted mission and core values of the company. 
  • Responsible for driving the team to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives. 
  • Accountable for delivery organization coordination to ensure solution viability and delivery capability. 
  • Act as one of the customer facing healthcare services leader to represent Leidos credentials and strengths for all large opportunities. 
  • Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external. Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the organization. 
  • Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes. 
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of our organization. 
  • Motivate and lead a high performance management team; attract, recruit and retain required members of the executive team not currently in place; provide mentoring as a cornerstone to the management career development program.

“Required Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and at least eight years of strong operational experience. In additional to operational experience this individual must have at least 5 years in a senior management role. 
  • Preferred Master’s degree in business or related field.
