Abt seeking Principal Associate for CMS

Opportunity: 

The CMS Lead will serve as a client account manager and sales leader for government contracting business with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the Agency for Healthcare Research Quality (AHRQ), and other adjacent markets, which includes managing a multi-million dollar revenue base annually.  

In addition to leading business development activities, the CMS Lead will be part of the thought leadership within DHE and Abt.  Ideally, the candidate will capably present and speak at client and professional meetings, and lead development and publication of research findings. Finally, the candidate will support a recruitment and retention strategy to position the account with an appropriate and sufficient staffing mix to promote sales growth. 

Key Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Direct sales and proposal efforts in accordance with the Division’s business development plan 
  • Manage major CMS Master Contracts, negotiating with partners about roles and scope, and making go/no go decisions on task orders under those master contracts 
  • Participate as a leader in client account meetings (CMS and/or AHRQ) to discuss bids being tracked, make proposal recommendations to Health Division Management, and assign proposal leaders…
