“Responsibilities
The Executive Director for Solution Delivery (ED/SD) is the principal advisor to the Associate Deputy Assistant Secretary, IT Operations and Services (ADAS/ITOPS) on technical and strategic direction. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Establishing systems/platform standards for all Departmental information technology (IT) infrastructure, and designing and managing the Departmental enterprise systems and infrastructure such as directory and name services, collaboration technologies including enterprise messaging, client technologies, storage technologies, business systems, disaster recovery/business continuity and networking technologies; and the continued development of systems platforms and related infrastructure to support the Department’s business applications. The position will have the primary responsibility to investigate new technologies that align with VA overall Strategic direction and provide the maximum impact on enhancement of business value in achieving strategic objectives…”
