The Defense Health Agency (DHA) Contracting Office – Falls Church (CO-FC) intends to award a sole-source bridge contract to Armed Forces Services Corporation (AFSC) 2800 South Shirlington Road, Arlington, VA 22206-3617 to continue the current work under HT001118C0010, expiring January 16, 2019. A Justification and Approval is being processed for this requirement and will be posted when the approval process is accomplished.
DHA CO-FC requests that AFS, the incumbent of the current contract, HT001118C0010, is afforded the opportunity to continue to provide professional and operational support services to the Warrior Care Recovery Coordination Program while the process of developing the follow-on requirements of a long-term contract continues. This bridge contract will prevent a break in essential services to this critical program. It will allow for the needed time to complete the requirements development and acquisition process necessary for a competitive follow-on award. It will consist of a 6-month base and inclusion of Federal Acquisition Regulation 52.217-8 “Option to Extend Services” for up to a 6-month period. It will not exceed 365 days.
BRIDGE REQUIREMENTS: Provide continuation of the level of support in the areas of strategic, programmatic, and operations to support the full implementation of the Recovery Coordination Program and specifically to provide support to the Recovery Care Coordinator program which entails training, the Recovery Coordination Program-Support Solutions; Education and Employment Initiative; Military Adaptive Sports Program, Operation Warfighter Internships, the National Resource Directory and other RCP support programs.
