The purpose of this IDIQ Statement of Work is to obtain business and information technology support services (ITSS) for on-going O&M support and to extend CFSAN’s FARM capabilities using the current and enhanced infrastructure.
The contract will allow the Agency to seek the full range of O&M services including database administration, customizations and process automation of workflows; performance tuning and monitoring; system administration; help desk support and end-user training; and user account administration for the existing FARM system, applications, web/application services, and databases.
The contract will also allow the Agency to upgrade its technology platform to the latest FDA approved database version, content management platforms, to improve the data quality of existing and future datasets through MDM; to facilitate the search and retrieval; to optimize FARM submission workflow, content management and improve CFSAN’s reporting needs. As a direct result of contract performance, the FDA expects to achieve the following outcomes:
- Upgrade FARM platform from Oracle 12C to the latest FDA approved environment;
- Improve MDM of firms and food and nutrition data, resulting in enhanced content management;
- Improve data quality, data profiling and data integration between FARM data sets and other CFSAN data sets to facilitate the search and retrieval and sharing of information;
