Thomson Reuters awarded CMS Beneficiary Address Validation Services task

Building on their evolving fraud solutions, Thomson Reuters was recently awarded a CMS contract for beneficiary address validation services for the new Medicare cards. Thomson Reuters’ winning proof of concept for validation will assist CMS with ensuring that new Medicare cards are mailed to valid address and limit the potential exposure for fraud, waste, and abuse from cards falling into the wrong hands. From the CMS justification “Thomson Reuters had the highest rate of identifying the beneficiary in their system, and had the highest match rate with the successfully delivered certified mailings” all while providing the most cost effective solution for CMS for this top oversight initiative within CPI.
