Amazon seeks NIH/NSF Growth Executive

Would you like to work as part of a team focused on increasing awareness and adoption of AWS by engaging with U.S. Federal grant programs and researchers in academia, industry, and not-for-profits to transform public sector IT strategy through cloud computing? Do you have a unique blend of business development acumen, technical depth, and familiarity with basic research, applied research, or experimental development to help further establish Amazon as a leading cloud platform provider?”

As a Business Development Manager at AWS, you will have the exciting opportunity to help create and deliver on a strategy to expand this progress by identifying ways for AWS to support and amplify U.S. Federal grant programs. Your responsibilities as an individual contributor will include working with internal AWS teams to develop and maintain a pipeline of Federal grant initiatives that AWS can influence to leverage cloud.”

“Internally, you will work closely with technical and business teams to identify disruptive opportunities for commercial cloud in grant funded initiatives. Externally, you will identify ways to influence grant initiatives (both tactically and strategically) and identify and support respondents, across Educational, State and Local Government, Not-for-Profit, and Private Sector organizations. In support of grant respondents, you will support bid/proposal approaches, technical solutions, and written proposals. You will operate in both strategic and tactical capacities and work to programmatize Amazon’s approach to influencing and supporting U.S. federal grant and R&D. You will close business at a rapid rate and high volume.”
