VA seeks SES Executive Director to lead Office of Rural Health

“The Executive Director, Office of Rural Health within the Office of the Assistant Deputy Under Secretary for Health (ADUSH) for Policy and Planning provides oversight and guidance in matters related to rural health care within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The Office leads the development and implementation of tools and services to address health care needs of Veterans in rural and highly rural areas. The incumbent exercises the leadership as well as managerial role for researching, planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating policy and programs to improve the access and delivery of health care services for Veterans in rural and highly rural areas…” See Full Job Description Here.

G2X TAKE: While few that read this will be qualified or interested in applying for this need, we expect many to be watching closely to see which leader takes on this role with responsibility and oversight of the ORH budget of over $250 million dollars, while savvier firms will be trying to influence who might apply.
