NIH advised to embark on $100 million pilot study with 50,000 enrollees

“A working group advising the NIH’s arm of the Precision Medicine Initiative believes the government should embark on a $100 million pilot study with 50,000 enrollees to explore policies for the broader, million-participant cohort envisioned by the initiative. The working group’s report argues that researchers should use whole genome sequencing rather than more limited peeks at participants’ DNA.” Read Full Article Here.
