8 Federal Health IT Events to kick off 2018

Welcome back! Holidays are always great but now they’re over and it’s time to get back to work. You have some time to settle back in, but events and activities will be ramping up by next week and we know you’ll want to make plans for some others on the horizon now.

Recent CMS retiree on How to Market & Sell to the U.S. Government

When: Wednesday, January 10, 2018
Where: Arlington, VA

This recent and former Group Director of procurement at CMS and also author of “How to Market & Sell to the U.S. Government, A View from the Inside” shares his perspective with the VOSB community.


Defining a Cyber Moonshot for the Health Industry

When: Thursday, January 11, 2018
Where: Arlington, VA

This early January event with leaders from HHS, CMS and DHA expected will focus on advancing “a meaningful dialogue about how Health organizations can integrate the recommendations of the Health Care Industry Cybersecurity Task Force”. Regardless, this group regularly creates some of the best Federal Health IT networking around.


Networking event with MHS / DHA Leaders

When: Thursday, January 11, 2018
Where: San Antonio, TX

AFCEA Health IT Day

When: Tuesday, January 16, 2018
Where: Bethesda, MD

The list of speakers for this event has grown steadily over the past few weeks and there is still a discount available when you register before next week for this chance to meet with more than 1,000 senior executives and IT professionals from across industry and government and hear from keynote speakers from DHA, VA, CMS and across HHS as they discuss a range of civilian and military health healthcare initiatives.


Health Policy Summit

When: Monday, February 5 and Tuesday, February 6, 2018

With a large number of speakers from across HHS, CMS and CDC, this two-day conference promises policy insights and perspectives from diverse sectors of health and healthcare decision making.


CMS SPARC Industry Networking Event

When: Tuesday, February 6, 2018
Where: Maple Lawn, MD

This informal event is a chance for anyone interested to bring some business cards and to meet and socialize with large and small winners on the SPARC IDIQ.


HIMSS18

When: Monday, March 5 through Friday, March 9, 2018
Where: Las Vegas, NV

The early bird has passed on this one but there is still a significant discount available if you book before February 5. Since travel plans will be required, now is the time to finalize plans before all of the rooms are taken – many already are.


National Quality Forum with HHS, VA and CMS

When: Monday, March 12 and Tuesday, March 13, 2018
Where: Washington, DC

Sessions during this two-day event will focus on topics such as delivery reform and the drive toward value, challenges and opportunities related to telehealth and other technologies.
