With the busy summer proposal activity starting to wind down, Federal Health IT executives are now starting to revisit plans for FY18. Included below are some key September and October events worth evaluating as your firm works to get a fast start, and three to plan for!!
Federal Health IT Forecast with VA

This event put on by Deltek, promises an in-depth analysis and a 5–year forecast of the federal information technology market. VA is one of agencies under the new administration where growth opportunities are expected and the opportunity to hear from a speaker lineup that includes Rick Chandler, Veterans Affairs OI&T CFO, makes this worth a look.
NCMA Woodlawn September Social Event
WHEN: September 19, 2017
WHERE: Columbia, MD
Proposal activity is winding down and this mid-September networking event will provide a good opportunity to celebrate FY17 successes (and lick a few wounds) as vendors start to look towards FY18. Founded in part by Federal CMS Executives, these events tends to draw well and are an easy way to connect with many of the leading technology and consulting vendors who support CMS today.
Healthcare Analytics at Scale – Weighing the Outcomes with DHA and NIH

This September event hosted by HIMSS-NCA and the Big Data Healthcare Meetup promises an informal chat about Healthcare Analytics at Scale, weighing the value of care and the outcomes of healthcare delivery. Irrespective of the topic, HIMSS-NCA’s monthly events tends to draw in many of the top Federal Health IT leaders, and with the addition of the Big Data Healthcare Meetup community, this already SOLD OUT event promises to be one of the most widely attended events this Fall.
HHS and the Health Cybersecurity & Communications Integration Center

WHERE: Washington, DC
3 Briefings. 2.5 Hours. No Fluff. That is the type of talk that any potential attendee likes to hear. HHS Small Business Vendor Event
WHEN: October 10, 2017

The opportunity to hear about upcoming opportunities across HHS and to connect with HHS small business executives and industry leaders makes this event worth evaluating. Do note that these events typically fill fast. Registration will open September 23, 2017.
DSI’s 13th DoD/VA & Gov Health IT Summit
WHEN: Tuesday, October 17-Wednesday, October 18, 2017
WHERE: Alexandria, VA
This Federally focused Health IT Summit has become a mainstay event for government and industry executives based on DSI’s ability to draw dozens of top speakers from across the Federal Health sector, while hitting on timely issues.
