Duties:
- Establishes the Military Health System (MHS) enterprise architecture within the framework of the DoD Enterprise Architecture policies and guidance, directs integration of health information across the DoD enterprise, reviews systems plans and programs for compliance with MHS Enterprise Architecture and assigns tasks to ensure adherence to, and support of DoD health policy, national security objectives and military readiness requirements.
- Develops and oversees execution of the Departments MHS IT transition strategy and ensures its continued evaluation to document additional opportunities to consolidate the number of MHS IT systems. Manages the elimination of redundant MHS legacy systems and oversees the development of MHS migration systems.
- Exercises direct oversight responsibility to establish policies, strategies, performance standards, goals, procedures, processes and metrics for the MHS IT organization.
