HHS Executive Director, IT & Infrastructure Operations

This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration (ASA), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), and is responsible for planning, development, assessment, and execution of Department wide IT infrastructure and tier 1 delivery of enterprise application systems to ensure a sharable IT investment that can be leveraged and standardized across the Department to prevent duplicate efforts, leverage common investments, standardize training and operational processes, and lower IT cost. This includes administering and implementing mobile platforms, desktop support, network access, scalable infrastructure, firewall and security protection, at the most affordable cost. Using ITIO services enables the Department to minimize risks, lower costs, and concentrate on their day-to-day core government business priorities.

G2X TAKE: HHS posted and subsequently closed this requisition to permanently fill the interim role currently held by George Chambers. With FITARA gaining momentum, there will be a lot of interest in who fills this SES level role with responsibility for managing and overseeing HHS wide infrastructure and operations along with tier 1 delivery of enterprise application systems which cut across the agency.
