The incumbent is the Chief, Quality Management (QM) Service, responsible for oversight of quality and performance/process improvement at Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center (LAJVAMC) in Clarksburg, West Virginia.
Duties
The Chief, Quality Management is the facility technical expert in Lean transformation, data analysis and process improvement, and exercises full responsibility for the design, development, implementation, modification, and ongoing operations of the Quality Management Service. The position reports to the Medical Center Director and has oversight of Continuous Readiness, Utilization Management, Risk Management, Patient Safety, External Peer Review (EDRP), Systems Redesign, VASQIP and Infection Control.
The performance improvement function includes a full spectrum of managerial activities with a primary focus on quality, safety, and appropriateness of care in concert with cost effectiveness.
MAJOR DUTIES: Quality and Compliance – 50 % Supervises risk management, patient safety, systems redesign, infection control, external peer review program, boards of investigation, external peer review program, quality metrics, internal control reports, and other programs which are or may be assigned by the Director.
