Joe Turek currently serves as the Director of Business Development at Akima. In this new role, Joe will Lead strategic FedCiv / Health IT business development activities for Akima’s Technology Services and Products Group (TSPG) to win work in new markets, customers, and business areas as well as to recapture expiring programs.
Joe brings exceptional expertise in securing large, complex Information Technology service contracts and Business Process Outsourcing programs. Joe’s extensive background spans across business operations, information technology, and Federal sector business development. Notably, Joe played pivotal roles within the Social Security Administration (SSA), contributing significantly to the design, development, and implementation of the Processing Center Action Control System (PCACS). Joe’s tenure at SSA’s Office of Systems and various contractor positions focused on supporting significant initiatives within domains like Title II, Title XVI, Disability, and Enumeration.
