VHA WFM seeking Associate Director

Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Associate Director (AD) for Workforce Management (WFM), Organizational Management Development (OMD) for VHA, Member Services (MS). The AD plans, develops, and implements the analytics and informatics program, workforce management, forecasting, and scheduling, and conducts advanced projects throughout MS, supporting more than 2,300 employees in the MS business lines.

Duties

  • Provides program direction and administrative management of the MS organizations’ analytics and informatics, workforce management, forecasting and scheduling programs and resources.
  • Provides consulting for complex and long-term initiatives and projects that involve multiple MS organizations and customers outside the agency.
  • Determines program priorities and develops operating program functions and activities.
  • Serves as the senior performance and data analyst for the organization.
  • Develops policies that enable strategic, operational, and tactical decision making for VA enrollment and related programs.
  • Provides authoritative information, policy guidance, and advisory assistance in the development of strategies for applying quantitative decision- making and quality management principles to core business areas.
  • Develops and conducts comprehensive analysis and reporting on program operations, develops reporting procedures, sampling techniques, and measurements at various points in the transaction process or business cycle to identify problem areas or inherent weaknesses in work processes, procedures, information systems, and content.
