VBA OFO seeking Deputy Director

Summary

This position serves as the Office of Field Operations (OFO) Deputy Director over the Executive Management Team (EMT), and reports to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). The EMT is responsible for the timely completion of internal work products required to ensure the resourcing of 56 regional offices, 4 district offices and 5 OFO divisions. The EMT is comprised of an administrative (communications and budget) and human resources team.

Duties

  • Responsible for ensuring efficient operation of the various divisions under the Executive Management Team (EMT), which include the communications, budget, and human resources staff.
  • Provides communication to the CAO on the effectiveness and efficiency of available workforce to complete existing, as well as projected, workloads for the EMT.
  • Formulates and recommends policies and plans that ensure a comprehensive program of due diligence and facilitates internal assessments and evaluations of program activities.
  • Develops performance measurement criteria, reviews, evaluates, and monitors day-to-day activities and long-range plans.
  • Monitors, tracks, and evaluates the reports, operational data, workload indicators, and workload systems for the team.
  • Assists VBA program offices with establishing procedures, policies, and initiatives for implementation of public laws and obtaining objectives for Veterans benefits programs.
  • Reviews proposed legislation and executive orders for the purpose of evaluating immediate and long-term impact on fiscal, manpower, workload, and economic resources and provides the CAO with recommendations potential changes for improvements…
