Serves as the Chief, Systems Integration Branch in the Headquarters Health Information Technology (HIT) Directorate, within the Chief Medical Information Office Division, located in Falls Church, Virginia
Duties
- Responsible for the planning, designing, acquisition, testing, training, and implementation of Military HealthSystem (MHS) Health Information Systems (HIS), starting from concept and exploration and continuing through the development for support.
- Provides guidance and oversight of all MEDCOM facilities integrating new and sustained information, technology and systems.
- Serves as Functional Representative/Liaison at all levels to include the Army and other Services.
- Ensures business methodologies and clinical practices are complete and accurately displayed in the system and effectively integrated into the patient database across the continuum of care.
- Serves as a direct supervisor, exercising the full range of personnel management responsibilities.
- Researches, interprets, analyzes, and applies proper guidelines, policies, regulations, etc., in planning goals and objectives.
