Summary
The Program Manager (TAC Chief Operations Manager) is assigned to the Office of Human Capital Services (HCS), Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA). HCS is accountable for the strategic alignment of the Administration’s workforce to its mission and strategy by providing and implementing workforce services, human capital management solutions, and innovations.
Duties
- Accomplishes program objectives by supervising staff and organizing and monitoring work processes.
- Articulates, communicates and makes clarifications to the team on assignments, projects, problems and solutions, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and reiterate deadlines and time frames for completion.
- Coaches the team in the selection and application of appropriate problem solving methods and techniques, provide advice on work methods, practices and procedures, and assist the team and/or individual members in identifying the parameters of available solution.
- Assists VIP leadership in identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow, skill level and/or occupational specialization, adjusting the workload in accordance with established priorities to ensure timely accomplishment of assigned team tasks; and ensuring that each employee has an integral role.
