Summary
This position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information and Technology (OIT), Software Product Management, Product Engineering Service and Office of People Science. The primary purpose of the position is technology environment.
Duties
- Oversees the employment of tools and methods to develop program/project plans and reviews technology investment decisions and serves as a senior technology advisor to the Director.
- Maintains an in-depth, current knowledge of the characteristics of human centered designs, policies and standards sufficient to design, develop, and maintain systems that meet current and future business requirements and its customers.
- Ensure that technical and quality standards governing all aspects of design management, systems support and research and development activity are defined and implemented across the system with the goals of ensuring uniformity and consistency of components.
- Provides expertise and guidance, IT and organizational management concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Oversees the development of human centered design and IT management systems.
