Summary
This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Secretary of Health and Human Services, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Financial Resources (ASFR), Office of Budget, Division of Health Benefits and Income Support, Medicare and Program Management Branch located in Washington, District of Columbia.
Duties
The Supervisory Program Analyst would serve as Chief of the Medicare and Program Management Branch, managing eight staff. Key responsibilities and duties of the Medicare and Program Management Branch include:
- Analyzes policy and cost impacts of Medicare payment regulations.
- Reviews and manages HHS clearance of Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS) Innovation research models.
- Develops legislative proposals for the annual President’s Budget.
- Analyzes and proposes funding recommendations for the annual $4.1 billion CMS Program Management operating budget.
- Administers $40 million in annual funds to combat health care fraud and abuse.
