Summary
This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI), Division of Ambulatory Payment Models (DAPM).
As a Supervisory Health Insurance Specialist (Deputy Director), GS-0107-14, you will serve as Deputy Director of the Division of Ambulatory Payment Models, responsible for the implementation of alternative payment models and representing CMS in discussion with stakeholders.
Duties
- With the Director, plan the overall workload distribution, set priorities, and prepare schedules for completion to assure the timely, accurate, and successful completion of planning, development, and implementation of alternative payment models
- Formulate analytic questions and review quantitative and qualitative data and analyses related to model design and also adjustments made during implementation.
- Serve as a liaison to model participants, including physician group practices, hospital outpatient departments, other model participants, and other payers, providing technical assistance on alternative payment model requirements.
- Provide senior leadership to model teams and manages the development of models design parameters and reviews models implementation progress.
- Represent the Director at meetings and on external or internal task forces or working groups, and assemble and direct teams or task forces for the duration of special assignments or projects.
