CDC taps Associate Director, Clinical Informatics

Dr. Aaron Harris, an experienced physician scientist with certifications in internal medicine and clinical informatics, has taken on a new challenge with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as Associate Director for Clinical Informatics. Dr. Harris plans to employ skill in collaborative problem solving, strategic planning, and epidemiology to support the strategy, implementation, and scientific quality of the CDC’s core data systems.

Prior roles include:

  • Acting Chief, Surveillance & Data Branch – CDC
  • Chief, Public Health Data Modernization Unit – CDC
  • Team Lead, Clinical Interventions Team – CDC
