CDC taps Acting Branch Chief, Data Standards Branch

Sara Johnston, a longterm Health advisor and IT expert, has been selected as Acting Branch Chief, Data Standards Branch for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Through Sara’s 15 years of work in the industry has garnered skill in HL7, public health and infectious diseases.

Prior roles include:

  • Program Manager, National Notifiable Diseases Surveillance System – CDC
  • Electronic Disease Surveillance Program Manager – Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS)
  • Epidemiologist – ADHS
