Duties
- Direct the work of a team of multi-disciplinary professionals with backgrounds in disciplines like public health, medical billing, health information technology (IT), professional relations, marketing, communications, and data analytics.
- Provide direction to implement and evaluate local outreach and education that informs the public about CMS programs.
- Serve as CMS’ primary official in a regional area (typically composed of several states) for requests for information, speaking requests, educational briefings, and media interviews.
- Develop and foster collaborative partnerships with stakeholders in order to amplify CMS messaging to the public.
- Solicit and analyze stakeholder feedback about CMS programs and policies in order to inform future agency initiatives and policies.
